Lake Sherwood OPC's Pastor: Rev. James Lim
Our Associate Pastor, the Rev. James Lim, was born in Seoul , South Korea . He grew up in southern California where he heard the saving gospel of Jesus Christ and believed for eternal life at a youth camp. He graduated from New York University in Greenwich Village, New York City, with a Bachelor of Science in Neural Science. He lived for a time working in Boston , Massachusetts , where the Lord grew, matured, and called him to the gospel ministry. James went on to earn a Master of Divinity from Westminster Seminary, Escondido , California .
James has been happily married to his wife Taylor since 2002. The Lord has blessed them with two beautiful daughters, Sophia and Calleigh.
James had the privilege of interning at two churches prior to being called as Associate Pastor at Lake Sherwood in 2007. He preaches at most of our evening services, teaches classes, directs Vacation Bible School , and supervises all Christian Education ministries. He also visits and counsels members, plans and leads outreach/evangelism ministries, and assists in shepherding the church as a member of the Session.
